Let the countdown begin...

Hola amigos! First of all, I'd like to welcome you all to my little blog. As you can see in the previous post, a big shout out goes to one of my best friends Kara Brosio for setting this all up for me. I asked her to make me a blog a: as a nice distraction from studying for finals, and b: because I wanted a way while I was in Madrid next semester to keep all my friends/family/whoever really cares to read this updated on all my European adventures! Now that I think about it, I'll probably use it quite a bit myself to remember what I did all semester during my very first Eurotrip!

Well, needless to say I'm not in Spain yet, but as I mentioned, the countdown has begun! Okay, I'll be honest, I've probably been counting down to this for a loooooong time now. Nevertheless, today marks exactly one month until I board the flight off to Madrid! I can't believe it. 31 days may seem like a very long time at first, but judging by the way this semester has flown by at SLU, I'm pretty sure all I'll have to do is blink and then it will be time to say my goodbyes, pack my life up for four months (not sure  how that's gonna work with the luggage/weight requirements...), fly across the world (flying in general is usually difficult for me), and settle in to my new home in Madrid, Spain!

Though it seems completely surreal and really scary at times, I could not be more excited!! I have some very good friends who I will be living and traveling with while abroad, interesting classes to take, and lots of trips that I am planning on taking around Europe!

As for now, I better get back to studying for finals, just a little longer than a week until I'll be done with finals and fully focused on getting my tush to España! Until then I wish all of you a very wonderful Christmas season, and hope you check back here in a few weeks, I plan on adding some pre-departure posts in the weeks to come!

Adiós muchachos!
